Over the past 5 years, Bravo Football has developed no less than 8 young footballers who have joined the ranks of India’s best youth football set ups including ISL club, Mumbai City FC and other prestigious academies. For an academy that prides itself on development, this is a record we aim to maintain and improve. But what equips us to deliver consistently year after year? Here are 4 key factors:

1) The Best Coaches: Across every age group, you will find coaches in the Bravo Football system who aren’t just good coaches, but true role models. Bravo Football coaches instil the confidence in our children to learn, take risks, make mistakes, learn from their experiences and repeat this cycle of learning. And remember good coaching isn’t just a function of coaching licences, it is the reflection of the coach’s & academy’s knowledge, values & ethics.

2) The Best Coaching Environments: From our choice of training venues to the positive energy at training sessions to the quality of tournaments & leagues that we participate in, our team labours over the little details to make sure every single child is cared for equally. Yes, we mess up sometimes. But the intention is always to do the best for all children irrespective of perceived ability.

3) The Best Opportunities to Progress: By training a minimum of twice a week through the week, children learning with us are guided and mentored by our coaches so that they can enjoy the game, improve their football skills and become better people along the way. Those who demonstrate the ability to play better are then scouted by our coaches to be part of our elite Xcelerate Program where there’s additional team training & 30-40 competitive games to be played on weekends. Those who shine in the Xcelerate Program are then sent for selections & trials at India’s best football youth academies through our partnerships & coach networks.

4) Doing What’s Best for the Children: We won’t lie. Losing 4 outstanding young footballers to other larger clubs is a kick in the stomach from a selfish point of view for us. Because we have invested a lot of time and effort in helping our children shine. But a guiding principle for us is doing what is best for the child. Yeah, we could have held on to our outstanding players for longer, but would that be in the best interests of the children? Probably not. So doing the right thing, even when it comes at a huge loss to us is something we pride ourselves in. We see it as an opportunity to develop even more outstanding footballers!
